Doors open @ 6:30 pm, event runs from 7:00 - 9:30 pm

The public deserves honest answers on how California can tackle tough issues like cutting carbon emissions, addressing the lack of affordable housing contributing to long commutes, improving social equity, preserving air and water quality, and facing our region's terrifying "new normal" of power shutoffs, extended fire season, and climate anxiety. With the retirement of Sen. Jerry Hill, who will lead the charge on environmental issues in Sacramento?

Join us on January 15 for a forum featuring candidates for State Senate, District 13: Josh Becker, Michael Brownrigg, Alex Glew, Sally Lieber, Shelly Masur, and Annie Oliva. A portion of the forum will include the candidates' responses to questions from the audience.

Cosponsored by:350SV, Acterra, Citizens' Climate Lobby, MidPen Media Center, and Sustainable San Mateo County, in collaboration with Canopy, Carbon Free Silicon Valley, Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame, Climate Reality - Santa Clara County, Cool Block Palo Alto, Cool Planet - First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto, Elders Climate Action - NorCal, Fossil Free Mid-Peninsula, Friends of Caltrain, Friends of Edgewood Natural Preserve, Friends of Huddart & Wunderlich Parks, Peninsula Interfaith Climate Action, Sea Hugger, Sunrise Movement - Palo Alto Hub, Sustainable Silicon Valley, Thrive Alliance of Nonprofits in San Mateo County, Youth Climate Action Network, and additional community organizations.
