We’re pleased to have Dr. Tim Wilkinson, President of the Bay Area Mesh tell us all about it. There have been a lot of upgrades to the firmware and Tim himself has tested hundreds of devices using even more versions of the firmware over the last few years constantly refining its ability to move data at internet speeds over RF.

San Bruno has probably one of the best networks with AREDN nodes on major city sites such as the Sweeney Ridge Water Tank and City Hall. Also, several members host additional sites and we’re fortunate to have community leaders like Artichoke Joe’s allowing us to use space on their buildings to expand the AREDN reach.

More is needed especially expanding out to our community neighbors like South San Francisco, Millbrae and other cities that surround us.

it should be one of the most important topics for the Amateur Radio community and we expect a large turnout including others from throughout the county.

The EOC doors open at 6:45 for our meeting which starts at 7:00pm this Thursday July 9th.
We hope to see many of you there!

HF Net on 7.270 every Wednesday evening @ 8:30 p.m.

Our HF net continues on again this Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m.
You can find the group on 40 meters with the frequency being 7.270 lower sideband for starters.

To reach net control for the evening, fire up your VHF radio and follow on our simplex channel of 146.595 to make contact for updates or issues. This is really important as we found ourselves moving to a different frequency for various reasons.

Coffee & a Radio
Thursday, July 23rd
Our always popular get-to-gether will take place on the fourth Thursday of the month once again at Starbucks in Bayhill at 9:30 am.

It’s always great to see everyone and we hope you’ll be able to join us as well!
