P.S. I received this important email message from Bill Bright:

Hello Everyone - hope this email finds you safe, well and biking wherever!

May 2021 – Bike to Wherever Days

While most of us continue to work from home because of the persistent COVID-19 pandemic, we will once again be biking to Wherever during the month of May, Bike Month. There’s plenty of reason to get out and ride your bike to run errands, get exercise, visit friends and family (safely of course) and more. This year, join us for the month of May and pedal to Wherever you need to go!

Friday May 21st has been designated as BIKE TO WHEREVER DAY 2021 with select special festivities when possible. San Mateo County will NOT be coordinating public face-to-face Energizer Stations again this year. San Mateo’s second annual Bike to Your Library day is being planned. Stay tuned for more information.

NEXT STEPS FOR MAKING BTWDS A SUCCESS:

NOMINATE A SAN MATEO COUNTY BIKE CHAMPION OF THE YEAR 2021

Do you know someone who is truly committed to riding their bike for everyday transportation, reducing their carbon footprint by biking and forgoing motorized transportation whenever possible? How about a cyclist who inspires others to get out and pedal — maybe for the first time or to start again? Click here to  nominate a Bike Champion of the Year for San Mateo County! Nominations can be made between March 4 and April 1, 2021. Check out 2019’s winners here!

PROMOTE BTWDs through all your channels. Read more about Bike to Wherever Days

BTWD Bags - we have a limited supply of bags this year. Use this Google Form to let us know if you could still use some to give out to those who Bike to Wherever? We'll be delivering them the end of April.  BTWD bags will also be available at selected bike shops and a few other locations around San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. We'll send a list of locations early May.

More people are bicycling in general, and we encourage everyone to participate for the entire month of May — make it “Bike to Wherever Days!”

 Thanks,

Bill Bright
