Camp Caltrain Introduces Kids to the Wonderful World of Rail
Caltrain will host Camp Caltrain on Wednesday, Aug. 6, offering parents a fun, free rail-themed family event at Santa Clara Station. The event will feature the South Bay Historical Railroad Society’s model railroad, free shaved ice from Kona Ice, arts, crafts, facepainting, and complimentary swag from Bay FC.
The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., is part of Caltrain's summer "Go Explore" campaign,
a series of events at Caltrain Stations in order to attract more riders
to the system. June saw more than a million riders for the first time
since quarantine, a 76% increase over June 2024.
Riders 18 and under can ride Caltrain for $1, making this event easily accessible to the entire Caltrain community.
