We are so excited to announce our guest speaker! She is not only a member of the San Bruno Chamber, but she is also on the Board of Directors...Edylyn Lagapa!! Join us as she shares her story of how she started her business, what inspires her, and success tips as a business owner. 
Edylyn Lagapa is a licensed Agent and Financial Professional with New York Life Insurance Company and San Bruno Chamber's Marketing Chair. Her mission is to educate young families and small business owners in the areas of family protection, educational funding, and diversified retirement planning. Previously a Director of Sales and with 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Edylyn has always thrived and enjoyed working with her clients as a problem solver. Her passion for helping people led her to pursue a career in finance when she aligned with the fortune 100 company in 2018. A native to the Bay Area, Edylyn also enjoys giving back to her community, as she and her daughter, Raizel, volunteer their time and resources to support families in need through nonprofit organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club, Project PEARLS, The City Eats and more. She is also affiliated with organizations where she shares her knowledge with the community through local chambers, Bay Area Entrepreneur Center, and Business Networking International.

Please note, an application for a PPP loan with SMCU will require an SMCU membership prior to funding a PPP loan. The following are the eligibility requirements for a business membership1:  
       Your business must be located or headquartered in San Mateo County, City of Palo Alto, or select San Francisco zip codes2.
       Your annual revenue should not exceed $10,000,000.
       Your monthly business activities should not require large cash deposits.
PLEASE NOTE:  The application and all communication is an online only process. All communication regarding PPP loans will be distributed exclusively through an electronic channel.

Salo Salo Event on June 12th - Small Business Showcase

Our very own Marketing Chair, Edylyn Lagapa, is co-hosting a Salo Salo Filipino Independence Day Event on June 12th from 11am - 3pm. This is a free admission event and open to the public of all ages.

There will be over 40+ small business vendors from food to services, a live DJ and performers, as well as influencers/community leaders.

COVID-19 Vaccinations Available at SFO!

SFO’s onsite vaccination program is now open to anyone age 12 and older, including all domestic and international passengers, for free. 

Minors aged 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

Vaccines will be available during the following days/times in the International Terminal (between Aisles 6 & 7, at the back of the building):
Thursday May 13th: 10:00AM – 6:00PM

Tuesday May 18th: 10:00AM – 6:00PM

Safeway Pharmacy will be bringing some doses of the J&J vaccine, a single dose vaccine, along with the Pfizer vaccine. Depending on supply, people age 18 and older might be able to choose the J&J vaccine instead of Pfizer.
