Elevate San Bruno is live! Elevate is a long-term economic development
and planning initiative that is a City Council strategic priority.
What's At risk

That's because around $20 million in yearly revenue might go bye-bye
Why
State rules and accounting have changed or are potentially changing.
This threatens revenue San Bruno used to receive from the state or
revenues lost due to businesses affected by state decisions.
What we're doing
The City already made the tough choice of closing vacant roles and
tightening our belt. But we're adjusting short and long-term to make
sure we can keep delivering the services you care about.
Elevate San Bruno will clear obstacles for new commercial development
(offices, hotels, etc.) that can help increase revenue at a lower cost
and diversify our local economy.
We're clearing this path because new state laws already give affordable
and dense housing an express lane that ignores our local laws and
rules.
