Welcome!
What's in this issue?

|
|
Hello!
The holiday season is here. I hope it will be an opportunity for all of
us to not only spend time with friends and family, but also enjoy
festivities with each other in community.
Something I want to highlight at the start is our downtown
shopping survey we have just started. I encourage you to respond
to the survey and share it with your neighbors.

Thank you to
everyone that joined us yesterday at Centennial Plaza for the annual tree
lighting. Naturally, it was also great to have a visit from Santa Claus
as well.

Letter from Santa
Not everyone gets a letter from Santa. But in San Bruno, you
can! With Red Nose Express Postage from the North Pole, you can
register your child to receive a personalized letter from Santa.
Each child must be registered separately for a fee of $3. Stop by the
Recreation and Aquatic Center at 251 City Park Way with a letter from
your child addressed to Santa and ask the front desk for help
getting your mail sent to Santa's Workshop. From now till

Coming Next Year -
City Services Academy!
The City of San Bruno is happy to announce that it will pilot a City
Services Academy next week. Open to all San Bruno residents, this program
will last several weeks and will include presentations from several
departments and tours of City facilities.
This is a great way to learn about what your City does for you and what
goes into their day-to-day work. If you are a student or eager to enter
public service, this is also an excellent peak into what's possible in
local government.

ARE
WE READY FOR AN EMERGENCY?
|
|
|
|
The County of San Mateo's Department of Emergency
Management has been conducting a survey to find out how ready the
Peninsula is in case of an emergency.
If you haven't already, take the survey to share your experience and
ensure that the County's policy and planning incorporates our needs
effectively.
|
|
|
Consider exploring
some of these topics from San Mateo County and the community.
