Authority Draft North County Multimodal Strategy –
Public Comment Period Open
Through Sept. 19
We are excited to announce that the Draft North
County Multimodal Strategy (NCMS) is now available for public review
and comment. As previously presented to the San Bruno City Council in the fall
of 2023, I would like to bring this matter back to your attention. The North
County Multimodal Strategy identifies underfunded but necessary projects that
will improve and encourage the use of different types of transportation in San
Mateo County.
This is the final opportunity for community members
and our stakeholders to weigh in before the strategy is finalized – so every
voice counts.
The public comment period will run
through September 19, 2025, and we would appreciate your help in
promoting the text below to your constituencies encouraging community members
to review the draft strategy and submit comments.

The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) is
seeking your input on the Draft North County Multimodal Strategy.
This strategy aims to identify and prioritize the
necessary, yet underfunded, transportation projects along the Highway 101
Corridor, focusing on the cities of Brisbane, Millbrae, San Bruno, and South
San Francisco. The North County Multimodal Strategy was developed through
extensive planning, stakeholder input, and data analysis to improve mobility,
reduce congestion, and enhance connectivity in northern San Mateo County.
The
goal is to create a more efficient, sustainable transportation system that encourages
the use of multiple options across the region.
Your feedback is essential.
