our San Bruno Fire Department for a tour of Fire Station 51! Explore
the fire engine and truck, meet your local firefighters, take pictures
in firefighter gear. You'll learn about this year's fire prevention
week campaign about handling lithium-ion batteries in your home and
enjoy hot dogs, games, crafts and activities. FREE Parking in the City Hall parking lot. We'll see you there! |

From the San Bruno Police Department: You may
have noticed our officers proudly wearing their pink patches as we kick
off the month of October. The San Bruno Police Department stands in
solidarity with breast cancer fighters and survivors, honoring their
strength and courage. Join
us for our Pink Ribbon Party, Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 3:00 PM –
5:00 PM at Police Plaza. Stop by to show your support, connect with the
community, and help raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness
Month. |
Recology Fall Community Cleanup |

The
Fall Community CleanUp Event with Recology is happening on Saturday,
October 11th from 8:00am to 11:00 am at 975 Sneath Lane. San
Bruno residents are invited to participate in the Fall Community
Drop-Off Day to dispose of unwanted bulk items, e-waste, appliances,
latex paint, and bagged garbage (no dirt, rock, or concrete). Hazardous
waste and chemicals will not be accepted. This
is a self-service event; residents must be able to unload their own
items. Limit of 3 cubic yards per household (approximately 3x3x9 feet).
Open to San Bruno residents only; proof of residency is required Also
this weekend, the Fall Compost Giveaway with Recology is happening on
Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th from 8:00 to 11:00 am
at Lions Field (back parking area, first-base line). Residents are
welcome to take home a free bucket of compost to help enrich their
gardens and learn more about the benefits of composting. This is a
self-service event, please bring your own bucket. One 5-gallon bucket

2025 State of the City Address |
Mayor
Rico E. Medina presented the City of San Bruno's 2025 State of the City
Address on September 24. The video provides an overview of the City of
San Bruno, ongoing projects, and future developments which will support
the growth of our community. |

- Trick-or-Treat
your way through 45+ local businesses — plus local organizations and
nonprofits who will be joining us and passing out candy too!
- Comcast
will be giving away blue trick-or-treat buckets (to raise awareness for
kids with autism and learning disabilities) along with some other fun
surprises!

From John Muir Elementary PTA: John
Muir Elementary is hoping to provide sugar pie–sized pumpkins for our
TK–2nd grade students to decorate this fall. We’re asking for donations
of pumpkins, or monetary contributions to help us purchase them.
Your support will make this a fun and memorable activity for our little
ones—thank you for helping us bring the fall spirit to our classrooms!
