Study
Session: We'll discuss the results of the selection process for a
sculpture installation at Posy Park and make recommendations.
Regular Meeting, 7:00pm
Our consent agenda includes approving a three-year contract with our Teamsters IBT Local 856 Fire Unit
We'll hold a study session to receive a six-month update on our Clean-Up San Bruno initiative
We'll
discuss and consider adopting our FY2026-27 City Council priorities and
budget principles. This is the outcome of the strategic retreat held on
January 31 and we'll formalize the initiatives and consider their
adoption. The agreed initiatives coming out of the retreat are:
Building Better in San Bruno - Long Range Economic Development
Street Sweeping Program Review
Downtown Beautification Planning
Safe San Bruno Traffic Safety Project + Crime Prevention Lighting Pilot Project
At
our meeting on January 27, staff provided the council and planning
commission with an update on our current state obligations to provide
housing, with San Bruno's target set by the state at 3,165 new housing
units by 2031. As part of this update staff unveiled a new online
dashboard that tracks our progress against this goal. The dashboard
includes a map of all proposed housing (both affordable and
market-rate) throughout San Bruno and a listing of the major projects.

Draft Safety Element Now Available for Public Review
From
the City of San Bruno: The State requires all California cities to
update the Safety Element of the General Plan to add goals and policies
to address climate change adaptation and resilience to wildfire,
flooding, drought, and extreme heat risks. The draft of San Bruno's

Public Review Period: February 5 – March 9, 2026
Planning Commission Meeting: February 17, 2026, 7:00pm, Recreation and Aquatics Center
Community members are invited to review the draft documents, submit written comments tokbeggs@sanbruno.ca.gov,
and participate in the Planning Commission meeting on February 17,
which will include a presentation and opportunity for public comment.

The
San Bruno Library is partnering with Neighborhood Forest to provide
kids ages 0-17 a free tree sapling to plant at home for Earth Day! Help
shrink your carbon foodprint, brighten your block, and enjoy watching
your child and their tree grow together!
