Tanforan Aug 27 2026 Buildout Proposal Update

I
went out and knocked a few more doors yesterday, but stopped early in
order to attend the presentation of the new revisions to the plans for
Tanforan. The latest version trims back the total amount of space
that’s definitively designated for offices, and includes large “flex
zones”, which could have a variety of uses depending on market
conditions.
If you’re interested in the future of the mall site, I
hope you’ll come out to the October 20th Planning Commission meeting,
and the November 10th City Council meeting. Those will be the best
opportunities to comment to decision makers about the new changes to
the plan, before the zoning adjustments are enacted.
