Help Save Public Transit In the Bay Area |
|
|
Many
residents of affordable housing depend on public transit, and proximity
to transit unlocks funding for building more affordable homes. Yet our
transit agencies need our help! YOU
can support transit funding in the Bay Area by attending two up-coming
events, one next Monday morning and another next Tuesday
afternoon. |
|
|
Press Conference at San Mateo Caltrain next Monday |
Join
County Supervisors David Canepa and Noelia Corzo as well as city
council members from across the Peninsula to support public transit
funding. Our local transit agencies need to see residents support
efforts to join a regional measure to fully fund our transit
systems. |
📍 San Mateo Caltrain Station, 385 1st Ave, San Mateo 🕡 Monday June 30, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. No RSVP necessary, just show up ready to rep transit (and wear any fun transit merch you might have, of course). |
Rally to Save Transit at Millbrae BART next Tuesday |
Next
up, join community members and advocates for a rally to further
pressure San Mateo County leaders to opt in to a 2026 regional funding
measure. This measure is necessary to prevent dire service cuts to
BART, Caltrain, Muni, AC Transit, and other agencies thorughout the Bay
Area.
📍 Millbrae BART Station, 100 Serre Avenue, Millbrae 🕡 Tuesday July 1, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
|
In
order to fully fund our transit agencies, our local transit agencies
need to hear from constituents who love and depend on transit. Make
your voice heard next week!
In community, Jeremy |
