How to Prepare for a PG&E PSPS

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) encourages customers to update contact information in the event they need to provide advanced notice for temporary power shutoffs this fire season. Landlines, mobile numbers, and/or email addresses are needed to ensure that PG&E has your current contact information.

Contact information will also be used by PG&E to share important wildfire safety alerts, especially during planned public safety power shutoff (PSPS) events. This is critical for medical baseline customers. You are encouraged to update your contact information with PG&E by visiting     pge.com/mywildfirealerts or by calling the PG&E Contact Center at 1-866-743-6589.
