Still NO Contract For San Bruno Police Department Employees

Article Source: Anonymous

I received this from a knowledgable source.  Contact  San Bruno - City Manager McIntyre Alex to get more info

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an important update I received regarding the ongoing contract negotiations. Unfortunately, the situation is becoming increasingly concerning. While the Fire Department has ratified their contract, the Police Department remains without an agreement.

According to the information provided to my source, there is growing concern that the City Manager and the City’s contracted negotiation attorney may be downplaying the seriousness of the impact this is having on our police force.

At this point, two officers have already left the department, and a total of six have indicated their intention to leave. Dispatch staffing is also strained — we are currently down to two dispatchers. Although replacements are in training, it will take time before they gain the experience needed to support the city at the level our current staff provides.

Given the seriousness of this situation, I encourage everyone to contact our City Council members and attend the next council meeting to express concerns about the potential loss of our police personnel.

Please feel free to forward this message to other San Bruno residents.

Message from my source:
“I just learned this morning that another officer has announced they are leaving for Santa Clara Police. This now represents two full patrol teams departing our organization. In total, six officers have initiated leaving since the start of the year, which is unprecedented.
From the information I was just provided, I sincerely believe the City Council is being steered by the City Manager and the City’s contracted negotiation attorney. I hope residents will contact their City Council members directly and express their concern at an upcoming city council meeting in numbers to show just how serious a matter this is to them.”
Thanks,
