Riechel Reports - City of San Bruno CA Events and of Interest to San Bruno Residents

Request For UPDATE On Police Contract Negotiations

Article Source: Robert Riechel

I sent the following to the San Bruno City Manager, San Bruno Mayor Medina, and San Bruno's 4 Councilmembers April 5th 2026

Tuesday March 24th 2026 saw many concerned San Bruno residents address the Council and City Manager requesting immediate resumption of mediation working towards a new contract acceptable to both sides.

SBPD Chief of Police wrote an article appearing on the front page of the San Mateo Daily Journal but it did not mention that there were current 2 party face to face talks GOING on.

WHEN will 2 party FACE TO FACE talks begin? or HAVE THEY BEGUN?

WHAT is the priority position for resolving this from the City's point of view?  It seems to be very very low on the City's priority list which is NOT what the resident want.

Everyone wants to know that 2 party face to face talks ARE NOW UNDER WAY!

Please advise that this HAS started.
