Arrest for Illegal Possession of Firearm and Package Theft

On Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 5:56 p.m., A San Bruno Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on
the 500 block of San Mateo Avenue in San Bruno. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a
loaded, concealed firearm, along with live ammunition, and stolen property. Further investigation
revealed that the suspects were involved in package thefts from several residences in the area.
The suspects were identified as a 37-year-old Oakland resident and a 41-year-old Hayward resident.
Both subjects were arrested without incident and booked into San Mateo County Jail on charges
related to illegal weapons possession, mail theft, possession of stolen property, false identification,
possession of narcotics paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy, and parole violations.
Officers are diligently working to identify potential additional victims of package thefts related to these
arrests. If you had a package stolen from San Bruno or the surrounding area on or around October 10,
2020, please contact the San Bruno Police Department and reference the above-mentioned case
