The San Mateo County Transit District launches three improved services to support mobility

The San Mateo County Transit District is launching three updated resources to help make it easier for older adults to find SamTrans and Caltrain information, plan trips and stay independent.

The coordinated offerings include the Senior Mobility Guide, PeninsulaRides.com, and the Mobility Resource Center — a suite of services (print, online and phone) aimed at helping older adults, people with disabilities, and their families navigate transportation options throughout San Mateo County.

“Transportation is essential to staying independent, connected and active,” said, Program Coordinator of Senior and Veteran Mobility Margaret Baggerly. “These updated options give older adults and their caregivers simple, reliable tools to find the help and information they need — whether they prefer a printed guide, online resources or assistance over the phone.”

Senior Mobility Guide

The newly updated Senior Mobility Guide is a comprehensive, easy-to-use printed resource featuring transportation options available in San Mateo County. Copies are available at local senior centers and libraries and are offered in English, Spanish and Chinese.

PeninsulaRides.com

Our refreshed PeninsulaRides.com serves as an online transportation resource hub, providing direct links to programs and service providers across the county. The website helps users quickly identify transit, paratransit and community transportation options that match their needs.

Mobility Resource Center

The Mobility Resource Center provides personalized assistance by phone, helping residents find and connect with transportation services.
