SamTrans Needs Volunteers for the Measure W Citizen’s Oversight Committee Citizens Advisory Committee
SamTrans is recruiting members for the Measure W Congestion
Relief Plan Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC). The COC is
tasked with reviewing the administration of tax revenue to ensure that
funds are invested in a manner consistent with the plan.
Appointed members of the COC will receive findings of an independent audit, hold a public hearing and issue a report annually to provide county residents with information regarding how Measure W revenues are being spent. SamTrans is accepting applications to fill the following five seats:
Representing riders under the age of 25
Representing working people in San Mateo County
Representing employers in San Mateo County
Representing Supervisorial District 1 (Burlingame, Hillsborough, Millbrae, San Bruno)
Representing Supervisorial District 2 (San Mateo, Foster City, Belmont)
The new COC members will be appointed by the SamTrans Board of Directors based on a written application.
Interested persons can either fill out an online application or download a fillable/printable application here, although interviews may also be requested. Applications are due no later than Thursday, October 21, 2021.
