SamTrans Summer Youth Pass on Sale Now

The school year is nearly over and summertime is around the corner, which means it’s the perfect time for parents to purchase a Summer Youth Pass (SYP) for kids 18 years and younger. The SYP is on sale starting today, May 21, for $40 and is good for unlimited rides on any SamTrans route from June 1 through August 31. Parents save $41 compared to buying three separate youth monthly passes for June, July and August. Students that qualified for the Youth Unlimited Pass during the school year can continue to use their pass throughout the summer.

Youth can visit friends, museums, libraries, movie theaters, shopping and entertainment by riding SamTrans throughout San Mateo County, from Daly City to East Palo Alto, and from the Coastside to the Bay. Traveling via SamTrans, youth can safely explore the county and enjoy unlimited adventure all summer long.

The SamTrans Mobile app is an easy way to purchase and use your SYP. Passes can also be bought online at SamTrans.com/SYP or in person by visiting SamTrans headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The SYP will not be available on the Clipper card. Go to www.samtrans.com to plan a fun excursion to your favorite destination.
