Holiday Meeting!!!!!

The plan is simple.  A short meeting to officially elect next year’s club officers and then we’re going to eat pizza and enjoy each other’s company.

We’re going to do this the same way as last year. Zorba’s will give us one bill and then we’ll dig into our pockets and find some cash to cover it or else we’ll all be washing dishes :)   So do come early and do bring some cash to help with the bill.

Also, there might be a couple of silent auction items you may want to bid on.

Anything extra we get will go into the club’s bank account just like last year.

We had about 25 members and their families last year. Let’s see if we can even get more folks to come this year!

Location: Zorba’s Pizza, 1567 El Camino Real, Millbrae,

Date & time: Thursday, December 11th, @ 6:30p.m.

Please feel free to bring your spouse, partner, bestie or whoever.

The point is to see a lot of folks and enjoy the evening in a relaxed get together to finish off the year.

Ugly sweaters are optional.

Please, Please, Please do use the button below to RSVP one way or another….Thanks!

Help the Club Financially

We’re not looking for much. Right now we don’t charge dues and we’d like to keep it that way as long as we can, but we would like you to consider two things:

  1. Get involved. Come to our meetings, participate in our nets, join us for coffee, man an information table, practice with our radios in the radio room or in the field, let us know who you are.
  2. If you can’t do any of the previous items, then consider donating $45 or so just to let us know that this club means something to you.

Your help is always appreciated as well as your comments and suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

dave, KN6KOO

Our Weekly Nets:

Mondays* at 7:30 p.m. Pacific(1930 HRS) *except national holidays.

special note for use of our K6PVJ repeater.  To engage it you now need to set your radio to use the 114.8Hz tone for access. We’ve made this change to reduce interference from other repeaters on this frequency in the Bay Area.

  1. K6PVJ 440.550 +5.0 MHZ 114.8 HZ
  2. 146.595 Simplex

The purpose of nets like this is to test equipment and locations around San Bruno as well as a chance to stay in touch with other club members. Visitors are always welcome to check in.

Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. is our HF net on 7.27

Our HF net continues every Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. You can find the group on 40 meters with the frequency being 7.270 lower sideband for starters.

To reach net control for the evening, fire up your VHF radio and follow on our simplex channel of 146.595 to make contact for updates or issues. This is really important as we found ourselves moving to a different frequency for various reasons.
