Interpretive Pavilion at San Bruno Mountain Park taking shape
San Mateo County Parks is getting closer to opening a
new Interpretive Pavilion and picnic area at San Bruno Mountain Park in
late spring and you can really start to see it come together. The new
pavilion and restroom facility will sit right in the day-use area,
creating a central hub for visitors to gather, learn and connect with
the natural environment.
We’ve also added new picnic tables in the open space nearby, giving
families, students, and community groups a comfortable place to sit,
eat and take in the views. These $2 million in improvements are
designed to make the park more welcoming, accessible and educational
for everyone who visits.
This project is about more than upgrades, it’s about creating a space
where people can learn about our local ecosystems, enjoy the outdoors
and build community right here in San Mateo County. I am looking
forward to seeing this space come to life soon and cannot wait to
welcome the community to enjoy this new enhanced outdoor recreational
space.
